What Rebecca does at WebBox?

Becs gained a wealth of experience in many areas before joining us at WebBox. Originally from Reading in Berkshire, Rebecca trained as a chef at the prestigious Ashburton Cookery School and Chef’s Academy, once completed she headed to France to work the ski season. Unfortunately, she was brought home early by a knee injury but it turns out it was this time that allowed her to get into coding, landing her first coding job just two months later!

At WebBox, Becs is a WordPress Developer, meaning it’s her job to take the designs and ideas and turn them into a seamless website. Working with our Project Manager and UX Designers, she uses her skill to bring websites to life within the biggest CMS on the market – WordPress. Whether it’s a completely new website or giving an older site a refresh, Becs makes it happen!

Q&A

What do you like to get up to outside of work?

I cook quite a lot. For something to do during lockdown, I got into photography mostly wildlife. I’m also hoping I can rebook my cancelled trip to Africa to go and photograph the big five.

What's the best thing about working at WebBox?

The team atmosphere makes the job very enjoyable and taking great designs and turning them into beautiful interactive websites is very fun. Plus the ping-pong doesn’t hurt!

You can only listen to one artist or band for the rest of your life. Who is it?

Billie Eilish of course!

What's something we might not know about you?

I’m a quarter Polish/Italian, though definitely didn’t inherit the genes from the latter!

And most importantly, for agency life, how do you take your tea/coffee?

Neither, I’m a hot chocolate gal.
